At Erwin Health Care Center, we believe in creating opportunities for our residents to relive cherished memories and enjoy special moments together. Recently, we hosted a fantastic classic car show in our parking lot, featuring a stunning collection of vintage automobiles from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The event was a wonderful chance for our residents to take a trip down memory lane, admire the sleek lines and vibrant colors of the cars, and reminisce about the days when they cruised around in their own beloved vehicles.

At Erwin Health Care Center, we celebrated National Dog Day in the best way possible—by welcoming River, a gentle and loving Goldendoodle, for a special pet therapy session. River’s visit brought joy and comfort to our residents, offering warm cuddles and lots of wagging tails.
Pet therapy is a wonderful way to boost mood, reduce stress, and provide companionship, especially for our seniors. River’s affectionate nature and playful spirit lit up the room, creating heartwarming moments that we were thrilled to capture in photos.
Thank you, River, for making National Dog Day so memorable for everyone at Erwin Health Care Center!
In the journey of caregiving, dedication, compassion, and commitment are paramount. Whether you’re caring for an aging parent or a loved one with a chronic illness, the responsibility can be both rewarding and overwhelming. Amidst the challenges, it’s crucial to recognize the importance of respite care—an invaluable resource that offers temporary relief for caregivers.
As National Skilled Nursing Care Week comes to a close, we at Erwin Health are delighted to reflect on a week filled with joy and connection. Our theme, “Radiant Memories,” came to life during our special family picnic, creating moments that our residents, their families, and our staff will cherish forever.
The family picnic was the highlight of the week. Children’s laughter filled the air as they enjoyed the bounce house, while games brought out the playful spirit in everyone. Bubbles floated around, adding a magical touch, and the aroma of cotton candy and delicious food delighted all.
At Erwin Health Care, we believe in celebrating the dedication and hard work of our skilled nursing staff who play an indispensable role in providing excellent care to our residents. This National Skilled Nursing Care Week, we decided to infuse a spirit of fun and festivity into our celebrations. From themed parties to delicious treats and special events, it’s been a week filled with laughter, camaraderie, and recognition.
Celebrating Our Skilled Nurses
This week, Erwin Health Care Center is buzzing with excitement as we celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) with enthusiasm and gratitude. This year’s theme, “Radiant Memories – A Tribute to the Golden Age of Radio,” holds a special significance for us as we reflect on the profound impact of skilled nursing care and the cherished memories we create each day.
At Erwin Health Care Center, we believe in creating memorable experiences for our residents that celebrate local culture and traditions. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a delightful social activity centered around preparing and enjoying a beloved local dish: taters and ramps.
At Erwin Health Care Center, we’re passionate about supporting our community, especially when it comes to important causes like Alzheimer’s awareness and research. We want to make you aware of the Tri-Cities Walk to Make Alzheimer’s a Memory, hosted by Alzheimer’s Tennessee.

At Erwin Health Care Center, our commitment to providing compassionate care is unwavering. As part of our dedication to continuous improvement, we’re thrilled to announce significant technology upgrades throughout our facility. One of the most notable upgrades includes the implementation of new clinical and financial software, transitioning to Point Click Care.
The CDC emphasizes the critical importance of immunization in long-term care facilities, particularly for protecting residents from severe complications related to respiratory viruses. Vaccination against COVID-19, flu, and RSV remains the most effective strategy to reduce hospitalizations, long-term health impacts, and mortality rates among nursing home residents.
EHCC faced several challenges in achieving high vaccination rates, including trust issues among new residents, misinformation from various sources, lack of awareness about the benefits of the updated COVID-19 vaccine, concerns related to medical history, and vaccine fatigue. However, the facility successfully navigated these obstacles through strategic initiatives.
